Adults

No. Anyone can call our Intake office 24/7 to schedule an assessment. We receive referrals from former patients, parents and loved ones, emergency rooms, physicians, schools, mental health professionals and many others.

Our adult programs include services that meet the needs of the patient at whatever level of care they need. We offer inpatient treatment for individuals age 18 and older for those with psychiatric disorders, substance abuse problems or both. These individuals are in immediate need of a safe and secure environment in which to recover from the crisis that precipitated their admission. We also offer a period of rehab for those who have been medically stabilized or detoxed. Our outpatient services include two programs: partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP). Both of these programs provide therapy during the daytime hours while allowing patients to return home in the evenings. And finally, we proudly offer our military services program that specializes in the care and treatment of those who are currently serving, or have served in the armed forces. A psychiatric evaluation is completed at admission and the treatment team will immediately begin addressing the circumstances and problems that brought the patient to us. Each inpatient hospitalization stay varies in length depending on the clinical and medical needs of the patient.

  • Insurance cards and ID cards
  • Name, address and phone number of current and previous therapists and doctors
  • All prescribed and over-the-counter medications you are currently taking
  • Medical information regarding any allergies you have to medications, food or other source
  • Unopened cigarettes (no chewing tobacco)
  • Comfortable clothing for 3-6 days, packed in a small/medium-sized bag
  • Jeans, sweat pants, slacks, t-shirts, pajamas, robes
  • Light jacket or sweatshirt as unit temperatures tend to be cooler
  • Bras and other undergarments must be worn appropriately. Clothing should not expose midriffs or be inappropriately tight.
  • Shoes that are slip-on or that have Velcro closure (no shoelaces or belts are permitted.)
  • Appropriate reading material

Patients do not need to bring money for items at CBH, and are encouraged to leave all money and valuables at home or with a family/loved one prior to their admission. CBH patients receive meals and snacks as part of their hospital stay.

No, only if they are admitted. The assessment data is staff with the on-call MD and they make the decision regarding admission. PTs who do not meet admission criteria are referred to an OP provider.

No. We are an IP facility and our medical staff only dispense medications or issue prescriptions for patients.

Yes. Families are encouraged to visit their loved ones during their treatment, and we have visiting hours twice a day at our inpatient facilities. For inquiries about visitation hours, please call (912) 354-3911.

We accept a variety of insurance plans to include Medicare, Tricare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, and others.

Children & Adolescents

No. Anyone can call our Intake office 24/7 to schedule an assessment. We receive referrals from parents and loved ones, former patients, emergency rooms, physicians, schools, mental health professionals and many others.

Our inpatient program has two levels of care for children and adolescents. Our Acute care program is for those children ages 4 – 17 who are at risk of harming themselves or someone else. Those kids that appear to be in an emotional or psychiatric crisis and need immediate attention and a safe and secure setting in which to recover are those that are appropriate for this program.

Our Residential program is a long-term treatment program created for those youth ages 7 – 17 who have a history of psychiatric or behavioral problems and for whom other treatment programs have not been successful in the past. These kids need ongoing therapeutic intervention in a secure environment to help them learn new coping techniques in order to transition back into the community.

Each patient’s length of stay is variable. A treatment plan is created by a team of mental health professionals to include our psychiatrist and licensed therapists, and each child plays an active role in his or her treatment plan. Parents may discuss their child’s progress with the therapist provided they are on the release of information as required by HIPAA.
